The aircraft

Thai Airways chose one of the most distinctive liveries in commercial aviation. The deep purple and gold draws on the tropical orchids and woven silk of the country once known as Siam, and the tail symbol is among the more recognisable in the sky.

It is that livery that makes these tags unusual. Most airline tags come out in blues, whites and greys. These come out purple, magenta and gold.
