Aviation Travel Shop is an Australian owned family business. We started in 2015 selling aircraft models and aviation gifts, and over the years the store has narrowed to the things we actually care about.
Today that means genuine aircraft skin tags cut from retired airframes, collector aircraft models, and a small range of aviation gifts and accessories. Everything we sell is held here in Australia and shipped by us.
Why aircraft skin tags
Most aviation merchandise is a picture of an aeroplane printed on something. A PlaneTag is different. It is a piece of a specific aircraft, with the registration etched into it, cut from the fuselage after that airframe was retired.
Every one carries the paint and wear of the exact section it came from, which means no two are the same. Some come from airliners people flew on for decades. Some come from bombers, fighters and air racers. One in our current range is cut from a missile.
We also stock Partial Tags, where the paint break falls off centre and each piece is genuinely one of one. Those are hard to find anywhere in Australia.
How we work
We hold our own stock. Nothing is dropshipped, nothing is printed on demand, and nothing arrives at your door six weeks later in four separate parcels from overseas.
Stock is limited by the nature of what we sell. When an aircraft is cut up, there is only ever so much of it.
