Shipping and delivery
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. We ship across Australia and internationally. Please check your address carefully at checkout, particularly for overseas orders.
Where do orders ship from?
Everything is held and dispatched by us in Australia. We do not dropship, and we do not use overseas fulfilment warehouses. Your order ships as one parcel from one place.
How long will my order take?
Orders are usually dispatched within one business day. Within Australia, allow 3 to 6 business days after dispatch. International delivery varies by destination, typically 7 to 21 days.
How much is shipping?
Domestic shipping is calculated by weight at checkout, starting at $8.50. Orders over $150 ship free within Australia. International shipping is a flat $25 for orders up to 3kg.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Tracking details are emailed to you when your order is dispatched.
Can I collect my order?
No. We are an online store and do not have a shopfront open to the public.
About the tags
Are PlaneTags really made from aircraft?
Yes. Every tag is cut from the skin of a specific retired airframe, and the aircraft type and registration are laser etched onto it. They are not stamped from new metal.
Why does my tag look different from the photograph?
Because it came from a different part of the aircraft. Each tag carries the paint, thickness and wear of the exact section it was cut from, so colour and finish vary. That variation is the point of the product, not a fault. Photographs are a guide only.
Can I choose the colour?
Usually not. Where a product has selectable options they appear on the product page. Otherwise the colour you receive will vary.
What is a Partial Tag?
A Partial Tag is a genuine PlaneTag cut from the same retired airframe as a standard release, but with the paint break falling off centre. Because the colour split sits outside the standard specification, no two are alike. They are rare and we stock them in Australia.
Will you restock a tag that has sold out?
Often not. Each release is cut from one specific aircraft in a limited run. When it is gone, it is gone. If there is a particular aircraft or registration you are chasing, email us and we will tell you what we can find.
Ordering
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed through Shopify Checkout or PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
Do you do corporate or bulk orders?
Yes. Aviation businesses, flying schools, aero clubs and airlines order from us for gifts, milestones and recognition. See our Corporate Gifts page or email us.
