Airbus A310 Air Transat®- C-GSAT - Various Colours Partial Tags

A genuine PlaneTag with an off centre paint break. Cut from the fuselage of Airbus A310-300 registration C-GSAT and sold as a Partial Tag because the colour split sits outside the standard release specification. The metal, the aircraft and the history are identical. Only the cut differs.

No two Partial Tags share a paint pattern, which makes each one genuinely singular rather than one of a numbered run.

The aircraft

C-GSAT has a better last chapter than most airframes. In March 2020, as borders closed around the world, it flew Air Transat's final A310-300 revenue service and brought Canadians home who were stranded in Portugal.

The A310 was the most commercially successful widebody of its size, and an early adopter of composite construction with carbon fibre in the vertical stabiliser, spoilers, landing gear doors and floor struts. Air Transat ran fourteen of them at 250 seats across two classes on long haul routes to Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Retirement was already scheduled. The pandemic simply brought it forward.

Choosing the Partial option

These tags come in various colour combinations and the combination cannot be selected. The exact position, proportion and shape of the paint break on the tag you receive will differ from the photograph. That is the nature of the product, not a fault.
