DELTA®-CRJ-200ER-N847AS

A piece of the regional jet that carried a generation of connecting passengers. Cut from the fuselage of Bombardier CRJ 200ER, registration N847AS.

The aircraft

Built in 1999 and delivered to Atlantic Southeast Airlines on 16 September that year. ASA had been a Delta Connection partner since 1984, running feeder services across the Midwest and eastern United States. In 2011 it merged with ExpressJet, which for a period was the largest regional airline in the world by fleet size.

N847AS retired in September 2016 and was stored at Blytheville, Arkansas. MotoArt recovered it in 2022.

The timing matters. Delta confirmed in December 2022 that it was retiring the CRJ200 from the Delta Connection fleet altogether, so this aircraft type is now passing out of service entirely.
