The aircraft

Aerolíneas Argentinas has flown some of the longest routes in the world, linking Buenos Aires to Europe, North America and across the Pacific. The A330 is what made that network work: twin engine efficiency on sectors that had previously demanded four.

The livery is unusual and worth knowing about. Aerolíneas carries a stylised condor on the tail, rendered in blue and white after the national flag, and it is one of the few schemes that reads as clearly national rather than corporate.

LV registrations are Argentine, and South American airframes are uncommon in tag collections, which are dominated by North American and European aircraft.
