DC-3 PLANETAG FLAGSHIP TULSA
This DC-3 PlaneTag is cut and engraved directly from the Flagship Tulsa, which is the process of restoration. The DC-3 was built for American Airlines Flagship Fleet in 1939 and continued its passenger service for Trans Texas Airways, Air New England, Provincetown-Boston Airlines and finally Aero Liberated in Mexico. The aircraft was grounded in 1994 and stored in Wisconsin until sold off and donated to Tulsa Air and Space Museum Planetarium in 2008. A portion of the PlaneTags proceeds are being shared with the restoration project.
Handmade Aviation Tags
PlaneTags are:
- Authentic - made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal.
- Unique - each PlaneTag bears the colour, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags.
- Collectable - each one is numbered in a limited edition and comes attached to a display card. Collect them all!
- Versatile - comes with a durable metal ring, strong enough to attach to luggage or keys or display

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the colour, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will have a limited option to select the colour of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.
